Transfer a co.uk domain name to Village Internet

 

The transfer takes place in two stages...

 

1. If you  transfering a co.uk domain name, you will need to ask your current registrar to change the IPSTag of the domain name to 123-REG

 

Normally there will be instructions on their website on how to do this. They may well also ask for written permission to avoid unauthorised transfers.

 

2. Village Internet will ask you to authorise the transfer to us, and we will initiate the transfer. As soon as the IPSTag is changed by your current registrar, we will then import your domain name and it's job done. We will then contact when it next needs renewing.

 

FAQs

Q1. Will there be a cost for the transfer?

A1. The transfer is free of charge. There is nothing to pay until the next renewal date for the domain name

 

Q2. Will my website become unavailable during the transfer?

A2. Your website service should be totally unaffected, as the DNS Server settings will reamain the same

 

Q3. Is there a charge should I wist to transfer away from Village Internet?

A3. There is no charge for getting the IPSTag changed again should you wish to leave.
