Reputation Manager

Customer feedback reviews and citations that are highly visible on Google and many other websites now assume an increasing importance in how customers view your service. And of course whether they wish to purchase from you. Never more has it been true to say that your reputation goes before you.

One of the problems associated with feedback is as old as the hills. Customers who receive a good service from a supplier very rarely feel motivated or bothered to say anything. However, aggrieved customers, whether justified in their criticism or not, will often go to extraordinary lengths to make their views known.

If there's a silver lining to a negative review, it's that you're getting valuable feedback that people would not say to your face. The downside is that they're sharing their comments with everyone else at the same time, and you don't have the chance to respond. This is especially galling if the comments are unfair or you have recognised them as genuine and have already carried out corrective action to stop it happening again. The stain will appear appear to be permanent.

The bottom-line is that this is the way that the web is functioning today; and whether we like it or not it's happening and is something every business must come to terms with. The consequences of not taking reviews seriously or ignoring them as an irrelevance could lead to brand damage and loss of revenue. Iignore them at your peril, and opting out is simply not an option.
