Backing Up

Make sure that your Joomla website is regularly backed up.  There are two elements to ensure your Joomla website is backed up and can be restored in the unfortunate event of your website design and data being lost or damaged:

 

1   Use the Backup/Restore facility in your Control Panel to download a copy of your website to your PC, We recommend that you click on Create Full Backup

 

2   By going to the MySQL facility in your Control Panel, click on the Backup button for each database that has been created (there should normally only be one) facility within.

We recommend that backups are taken regularly, and especially after any website modifications or data has been input, modified or deleted.
